How do you survive in a world full of zombies? I'm Jordan a survivor in the Millikan Stronghold. It's been two months since society's collapsed and we're all doing what we can to survive. I've worked on my aim during these two months but I still have a lot to learn and it doesn't make it easier that today is the first day I'll lead an expedition unsupervised. We need medicine and lots of it we have one doctor and more than three hundred people live in this Stronghold. I am a chemist with a lot of potential and I'm starting to wonder what the hell the U.S. government had been doing. I'm not sure how we'd fair compared to other Strongholds but I'm very confident that we could hold our own against many different types of attacks. I despise zombies and I wish to eradicate them but bandits keep getting in the way of my path and finding the light for tomorrow keeps getting harder. * * * Sneak Peek: After a couple of long breaths without noticing anything I decided to aim at the last known position I knew the sniper was in and took another breath as I squeezed the trigger, the recoil was absorbed into my right shoulder as I shot a couple more times around the building, unfortunately I had no luck in finding the sniper. After a couple of minutes passed I heard something rushing up the stairs which caused me to instinctively reach for my revolver and aim at the door. The footsteps got closer as I saw the door swing open. I focused on the door as a black silhouette popped out and abruptly stopped in front of me.

I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.
