A married woman abused by her husband. It was slow at first, she always excused it as he was frustrated from work. But then he emerged to control to where she goes, who see she sees, and who she talks to. He limits her time with friends and family. It was manipulation that turned to mental abuse, then it was mental abuse to physical abuse, then it was physical abuse to broken damages.

It slowly became a norm for her.

She was living a nightmare. She felt like she couldn't escape. He was in her head filling it up with fear. She found that the world is cruel. But, then one day it all changed. Just like the start of this scary story it slowly changed to a better life.

Shopping for groceries she stumbled upon a clean cut man. She spilled her coffee on him. Naturally for her, she reacted as if she was going to get hit. She then looked up to the confused stranger and apologized almost to the tear promising to pay him dry cleaning money for his shirt. He shook it off and said accidents happen. He tried to talk to her but she was in a hurry to get home to make sure everything was ready for her 'dear husband'.

The next day her husband gave her a reward of $10 to spend at a cafe. She goes and she see no other than the man from the day before. Dying for human interaction she gives in to his request to join him at his table. She has been looking for an escape but what she didn't know was that it was in plain sight.
