When missionaries go missing on the planet Mystia two Union of Planets (UOP) emissaries, Galen Shadowstar and his student Oriona Sundari, are sent to investigate. There they find hostile forces that threaten their lives, the lives of the missionaries and the lives of the indigenous beings on the planet.
