Après une mission sur Lothal pour obtenir des informations très importantes afin de lutter contre le Premier Ordre, un jeune pilote de l'Alliance Rebelle nommé Frost et son droïde astromécano Happy font une incroyable découverte en se réfugiant dans un ancien bâtiment. Frost découvre une personne placé un cryostase, il s'agit d'un rebelle ayant lutté contre l'Empire mais pourtant cette personne est considérait comme mort dans une explosion, le jeune pilote et son droïde décidèrent de réveiller l'ancien rebelle qui se révèle être Kanan Jarrus. Bien que perdu après des années de sommeil, Kanan prend la décision de suivre Frost et rejoint l'équipe du jeune rebelle dans le vaisseau de ce dernier, le Doragon. Ce groupe de rebelle est composé de Seth, un stoormtrooper renégat, de Hono, une rebelle au grand coeur et de Kiungo, un pamaku qui était un ancien chasseur de prime.
Dirigé par Frost, la petite cellule rebelle luttera contre le Premier Ordre, mais le jeune pilote semble garder un lourd secret...
