A transfer to BAU was something Doctor Ellery Cooper always wanted. What she didn't count on was the move making her a prime target for a sadistic serial killer. His motives are dark, his murders brutal and now he wants Ellery more than anything else. Making it out alive will be nearly impossible, and she'll have to rely on Spencer Reid knowing her as well as she hopes he does. However, in the aftermath, how will their lives change? Will Ellery be able to recover from this case or will she be left tattered and torn physically and mentally? No one ever said working with the BAU would be easy, but Ellery Cooper never expected it to cost her her life either.
