Alex hates his semester abroad in London. There's no good coffee, the accents drive him up the wall, and the weather makes him even more miserable. He's certain that he'll carry on hating it forever until fate steps in and introduces him to Pez and Henry. Henry, the pretentious knob in his literature class. Henry who, apparently, is actually a lot different than Alex assumed. They become fast friends which is great. And totally explains why Alex is jealous of Henry's new boyfriend.

Alex isn't even sure what he is doing here. Sure, he has just been dumped or something and Bea didn't want him to be alone, but it's not like he has any interest in being a part of the fun. He isn't exactly in their friends' group; he is just Bea's brother. And as much as Alex loves Bea, he viciously hates her brother.
