Anxious but brilliant, Hailey Ramirez is languishing in community college, desperate to make a grand scientific discovery. Until she composes a tweet about her favorite childhood game, NoughtiePets. (Or, Schrodinger's NoughtiePets. She tweets: "If I haven't fed them in ten years, are they alive or dead?")

All she remembers about the game is that she had four pets that looked like aliens, and the Egyptian God Anubis was an NPC... Her tweet goes viral... Anubis is brought back to power, appearing suddenly in Hailey's house...

To express his gratitude, Anubis has Animated Hailey's digital-pets in startling, anatomically-inaccurate realism. Plus pets for the "Love of Her Life" and her "Best Friend Forever" - two strangers that she played NoughtiePets with but doesn't actually know.

Now it's Coachella weekend and twelve magical animals are loose in the world. Anubis is desperate for internet fame, to strengthen his powers, but Hailey can't risk any of the pets being photographed - so they have to find them before the festival starts...

HALIEN is "Ready Player One for 90s girls" or "Fantastic Beasts if the Beasts were Neopets" with a lesbian love story.

"I love how this book is turning out!😍 Not cliche at all!" - i_hatecliche "We might live next door to each other," Haley said, "but we don't live in the same world." Hooking her fingers around her backpack straps, she walked away from Jace. She had barely gone a few steps before he was at her side again. "What makes you believe we don't live in the same world?" he asked. "As far as I can tell, we do." "No, we don't. I'm...me and you're Jace Cortez. The dream of every girl. The friend to every guy. The star of the school. Girls. Sports. You're the ultimate player." "It sounds like you have a preconceived notion of who I am." "And it's one that has yet to be proven wrong." From books and a lifetime of sitting on the sidelines, Haley is convinced she knows how the world works, specifically high school. Everyone has a label and a box they fit in. This knowledge, paired with parents who are fighting, a brother leaving soon for college and a best friend who moved away has made her decide to never get involved. It will take being forced to work with her fellow juniors on a project, a boy next door with a infectious smile, a star gazer with an adorable puppy, and an unlikely pair of fangirls to make her see how truly wrong she was about everything. "IT'S NOT CLICHÉ!!!" - Moria987 "This is the reason y I keep coming back to this book...It's simply a breathtaking journey" - mariyamsajorawala "I don't usually comment but this is one of the best books I've read here. I love the fact that it's realistic and focuses on things that really hinder human interaction, perceptions and stereotypes." - yurfavegal "just gets better and better. How are all your characters 3D! Like this writing is so beautiful" - CrazyStarChick "Reading it for the second time, and the book still brings a smile to my face 😆" - grumpymood "She's practically Carter's twin 😂😂" - Guardian_21 #1 Breakingcliches #1 Arrogant #6 in Teen Romance

From a transgender werewolf without much 'wolf' to awkward 14-year-olds or an asexual in his fifties, this is the place to be for lighthearted, fluffy LGBT+ one-shots with diverse characters (no, not everyone is white or straight/gay) and a twist on some clichés. 1. Firsts - First crush, first date, first kiss and two shy 14-year-old boys. 2. Broken light - A blind guy and his best friend go camping and talk about colours. 3. Hearth - A middle-aged couple on a quiet Christmas Eve. 4. In the bright sun - An old gay couple takes a walk in the park and reminisces. 5. Back to school - Charlotte smells her mate on the train back to university, and a glimpse of the future (Night). 9. Good intentions - The trouble of LGBTQ+ parents when you're non-binary. 10. Touchy-feely - Two girls speak different languages - and technically, they don't speak at all. 11. Oh come, all ye faithful - Dembe doesn't kiss, not even under the mistletoe. 12. The carpenter who didn't dare come out of the closet - Narnia 2.0, but weirder. 13. Growing space - The cashier in the toy store is Noah's mate, but he is already mated to Leila. 14. Lufi Muhamad, an insomniac college dropout with mild anxiety, opens up a Tattoo Parlor right across the street from a small Flower Shop. The day after opening, he finds a bouquet on the doorstep of his parlor. He looks across the street and sees a blue-eyed boy with dirty blonde hair opening the flower shop, and something within him stirs. Deimos Alexander, a hyper ADHD 20-year-old, was shocked when he realized that a new business had opened up across the street. He looked in the window and saw (In his best friend's words) an "Emo in the wild" tattooing someone. He makes a bouquet for him and places it on his porch step. He almost dropped his coffee the following day when he saw an oil pastel drawing on his welcome mat from the tattoo artist. Trigger Warning: While this book is a majority fluff there are a few angsty bits that face some grim topics including child abuse, dangerous parents, alcohol abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and harassment. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. (I love y'all but I'm not putting my ace ass through that torture) If you have an idea for a cute date between characters, a friend group excursion, etc. please comment. I will either try to incorporate it in the story itself or make a oneshot book. NOTE: There is no specific schedule. While I will try and update once a week I am still in school and I'm both a part of the theater program and dance team so updates might be inconsistant.
