The Shade Legacy

Jason Brook wakes up after a car crash that kills his best friend remembering only three words "you've been chosen" and discovers that he too died in that crash but that his biological father had a family secret that any of his decedents who die a violent death trigger the legacy and are reborn as a shade a being that lives both in the human world and the Darkness, the other side full of demons that humans cannot see or know exist. with so little shades existing they must work together to stop the violent souls and demons from escaping the darkness.
