Independent! Mage Lucy has taken the neglect for as long as she could stand, but when Jude Heartfillia attempted to ban her from using the magic both she and her mother loved with all their hearts, Lucy decides she has had enough. 

     At first scared of being noticed she stuck to the forests, spending time only with her spirits, but once one of them suggests the idea of cloaks to hide their identities Lucy begins to go in to town more often and later take on any unanswered mage requests the towns have. 

     Flash forward a few years and Lucy has become a celestial mage able to rival any that came before her, but that doesn't change that she lacks any meaningful human connections, so when she is offered a place in the renowned guild of Fairy Tail, she and her beloved spirits accept and prepare to begin their new journey.
