Original release: 2020 Two paths stretch before Jora as he awakens in the hospital without memory nor any known records: on one, a doctor wishes to help him recover his memory; on the other, a scientist wishes to do the same. However, on their quest for the truth, not everybody has his well-being in mind as they discover the reality of his situation puts their own goals in danger. A combination of Science Fiction and Fantasy that embraces the bizarre, and is wrapped in mystery with some aspects of horror. 2020 Author's Notes are available in the comments. I highly recommend reading the chapters first! 2024 Author's Note: This story has been cancelled, and is due to be rewritten. Many aspects may likely change in the future, though. I originally took down this story because I disliked the universe I'd set up as well as the execution of the story itself, and intended on doing a reimagining. That second take came and went, burning myself out over struggles to pace it well thanks to its highly unusual and experimental structure. This story was also taken down to prevent some of the events that occurred later in it from spoiling the latter parts of "Redwater Riot." That said, I feel like it would be a good idea to rerelease this story as a sort of museum work, a way to look at what my writing was back then and how it has changed over time. I don't intend on finishing "Polaris Garden," though I do intend on a rewrite in a later "Imperial Reach: Awakening." Something much closer to what this was than what I'd done before. I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten.
