His Lovely Rose

Evani Cardale and her best friend Layla Sterling have known each other since they were children. Everyone knows just how close they are simply by how inseparable they've always been.

On the other hand, Layla's older brother, Kairo Sterling, did nothing but awful things to Evani when they were young. He played all kinds of pranks on her, always tormenting her endlessly and making her cry. He caused her nothing but pain. Evani grew up hating him because of this.

When Kairo leaves at the age of eighteen for some unknown reason, Evani can't help but feel happy without his presence around. She's able to do the things she wants without having to worry about him constantly bullying her.

Seven years later, Evani is now twenty-one and almost finished with her final year of college. Her and Layla decide to get an apartment together before they graduate like they always wanted.

The peace she once had is ruined when Kairo, now twenty-five, finally returns. He's now ready to claim what's his, not caring who's in his way.

Kairo takes both of my wrists in one of his much larger hands, pinning them on the wall above me and preventing me from moving. He takes his other hand and grabs harshly onto my hip, pressing himself closer to me, leaving no room between us.

"What have I told you Evani? I don't want any man to lay his hands on what's mine," he growls out, leaning towards my neck and sucking on the spot that he knows all too well. I close my eyes, letting out a small moan.

"What are you Evani? Say it," he commands, pausing his assault on my neck to look at me.

"Your rose. Only yours," I breathe out, right before his lips cover mine, claiming them over and over again.
