But secret meetings in hidden places with his master's son make Sling uncertain of what will happen next. When news arrives of a proclamation that will allow Sling to leave his hated master, Sling faces a difficult choice: whether to flee to safety or to stay and face the dangers of an unknown future. Captured from a small village in the times when slave trade thrived in Africa.Enslaved in a new country,Ehi has to learn love and survival in the most gruesome way. This book is 70% fiction,the other 30% are well known historical events and facts. I love how i was able to put together everything I love about literature into this book. I love the historical feel it has to it,the romance and how shows a glimpse of my beautiful maternal culture. It's mostly about the history on the slavery of the Edo people in Nigeria during the colonial times. Basically this book (Ehi),is a fictional representation of slavery during the colonial times.
