"Don't be a stranger," he whispered against my hair.
But Sol and I knew the answer to that. We weren't going to hang out again, at least not in the near future.
I was a distraction.
He was temporary.
We weren't meant to last.
We were an eclipse, meeting only because the universe allowed us to.
I wrapped my arms around him tightly, basking in his warmth for the last time. How do you let go of someone who wasn't yours in the first place? I breathed and took in all that I could, and tried to memorize everything in this moment, so I can tuck it safely in my mind for days when I needed the sun again.
That was the last time I saw and heard from Sol Andrada.
So why did he send me a friend request three years later?
