Once upon a time. . .
There was a kingdom in the midst of a war. As troops were slain mercilessly, the king turned to the gods and prayed for a blessing. Thus, the dragon goddess, Tiamat, answered. She lent her aid to the kingdom in return for a hundred souls to become her offspring. The king, in a frenzy, accepted her offer without acknowledging the weight of his decision.
When the kingdom was victorious, the king decided to go back on his word. The cost was one-hundred men too many; he refused to take that many lives.
Furious, Tiamat swore to the king that when she had enough power, she would cause such devastation in the kingdom the king's legacy would be nothing but a story.
Her power was depleted, but her fury was unlimited.
It took the vengeful goddess a thousand years to gather the strength to deliver her child into the world. This child would carry the soul of a dragon that would slowly lose its sanity until it caused chaos throughout the world; the world the king had sworn to protect.
There would be only one way to stop the progression of the mania before the world plummets into disarray. Yet, that is only for the dragon to know and the world to ponder.

Adventure As A Snake Goddess
It was supposed to be an ordinary, peaceful day. All she wanted was to relax, grow a bit, maybe soak up some sun-nothing crazy after dealing with the past. It was her way to become a goddess. There were many memories and adventure that she went through but she felt it was time for retirement. But no, of course, fate had other plans. Instead of lounging around, she found herself to be hunted. Apparently, some ancient godly decree said humans had to be spared... which she found incredibly inconvenient. Instead of trembling in fear like any reasonable person would, the man just looked... amused. Great. Out of all the humans, she had to get stuck with this guy who was still oddly strange.Complete

First, there was existence. Then, creation. And finally, life. Organisms started to exist and live on the insignificant planet known as Earth in the middle of a galaxy out of the endless void that is space. Two races gained a gift all other creatures don't have: intelligence. Humanity and Dragonkind. Dragonkind was gifted with power and strength, while humanity had dexterity and creativity, always hungry for knowledge. However, when a conflict threatens to destroy the world, dragons become the definition of beasts and humans become nearly helpless to survive the onslaught or become monsters themselves. As the planet closes on its own destruction, a child born of both universes will be either the last light of hope to end the bloodshed once and for all or become its greatest threat to not only Earth, but possibly the whole universe. As two beings run from death itself, their child must survive not just to save Humanity, but all of Dragonkind as well. (Author: This story and others have been living rent-free in my head for a while. My own dark take on the "war, but with dragons" concept, this is the start of an anthology of stories.
