I lay on the floor, panting for breath. Claude and Alois grin down at me, pleased with their success. They don't notice my blood forming my contract seal on the ground beneath me. Even now, my mother's magic still runs through my bloodstream, and the sparks are becoming darker by the minute.

But neither of them notice this.

I call out to my father's realm, urging it to send me reinforcements. The ground in between the seal lines becomes black and my blood glows crimson.

Claude smirks and snaps his fingers. The portal shuts down, and he shoves me back down with his foot. "Ivanna, please. Don't struggle."

I grin. "Actually, Claude Faustus, my name is Ravenna. And I'm not weak." I stand up, my wounds gone. "I'm the daughter of Lilith and Sebastian Michaelis, part-time Grim Reaper, and princess of demons. Show some respect, bitch."
