In an alternate universe split, where the Soviets destroy America during the Cold War, we all hear the stories of complete world destruction, but if only one portion of the world was destroyed, what would life be like after for the very few who survive? How would they cope? How would the world change after the enemy hits the kill switch? 

-This is my first project trying to write a long story. I'm not sure if this will turn out to be a short story or a novel, but I know this will be a long term plan. I've wanted to write this story for about 3 years now and have been putting it off. So here goes! :)

In this world, countries and humans live together, and there are powers given to the countries at birth/appearance. There's a group in Europe that murders innocent civilians just for the hell of it. They call themselves Emathron. Russia, an investigator/police officer, is tasked with finding and arresting this group of killers and psychopaths. His boss, EU, forces Russia to work with 3 others. Finland, one of the best snipers in the world, Vietnam, a silent and serious policeman, and Kazakhstan, a winged country that can glow when he wants. What will happen to Emathron and the odd group of officers? This is my first story and I'm really excited. I've had this idea for SO long. This is a countryhumans story featuring Y/N. Although for the majority of the story you won't know who Y/N is, in the end it will be really cool, I hope. Just so you know, Y/N will be a girl, so sorry to those who wanted Y/N to be any other gender. It was a portal. Kind of like those swirly, spiral ones. And it was blood red. Darker at the tips, and whiter at the center. It was beautiful, and definitely not of this world. Boots thudded loudly as USSR ran closer. The Axis look at each other again, this time they nodded in agreement. They stepped into the clearing, feeling a sudden breeze brush against their cheeks. As the trio stepped into the clearing, USSR had finally found them and watched as they stepped through the portal, then without thinking twice, stepped in after them. WARNING: This book features the Axis (Third Reich/Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Japanese Empire), The USSR, and possibly other countries that can be upsetting for some readers. I HOPE YOU ENJOY!!!

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

A short story with a semi finished ending, it leaves me a bit of wriggle room to add to, if I decide to.
