On The Run

I felt the chilling end of the man's pistol land on the side of my head.

"I'm gonna kill you" I try to sound confident in my words so he doesnt get the satisfaction he wants from my fear, but I don't think it's working.

An annoying grin appears on his face.

"Is that a threat, princesa? " The man says as he puts his gun in his waistband, taking a step forward closing the space between us. I can feel the heat from his breath fan my neck as he speaks.

"It's just a promise, you coward". I could feel my wrists start to go numb because the tight metal handcuffs surrounding my wrists.

"Be Careful what you say little fish, You're in a pool full of sharks and were all hungry" Is all he says as he walks out of the room, turning off the lights leaving me alone with my thoughts wondering how I got in this position.
