Weak sunlight beamed down on Remus as he slowly woke up. He looked at his window and blinked at the small shadowy creature sitting on his window sill. He turned back into his bed comfortably before turning back around to stare at the still unfocused blob. Remus rubbed his eyes and before him, a beautiful tawny owl sat on his chest. It had a small letter with green writing and a bright red wax seal at the back. Remus read the green writing; 'Mr R Lupin, bedroom on the second floor, Spruce Hill Cottage, Yorkshire'  Remus, now suddenly awake and ecstatic, ran downstairs to find his parents. He wanted to prove them wrong- that he couldn't go to Hogwarts due to his condition - and waited patiently for his letter to arrive. Now, he was jumping up and down in joy as his tired parents woke up.

A wolfstar AU (no-magic) {a relatively short story} The 1970s, a wonderful time of bold makeup, bell-bottom jeans, vinyl shops, police brutality and rampant homophobia. You get the gist. In which, Remus Lupin is a fresh-faced wallflower just out of college, supporting his community in miniature efforts, as to not get noticed. Sirius Black, maybe not as fresh-faced but still just out of college, is, let's say, a little bolder. He's happy to be noticed - even happier when it's the freckled boy that hides in the library. Disclaimer: my parents weren't even a twinkle in someone's eyes in the 70s. Historical accuracy isn't going to be my focus point; but I'll try my best.
