"Westwood Preparatory, home to music prodigies, and artists in the making. Each student gifted with a full spectrum of talent, come in the hopes of becoming legendary. Westwood is notorious for the utmost excellence in academics, sports and most importantly music."
So how the hell does Grant Reynolds, the epitome of bad*ss fit in?
As far as Aspen Henderson - great grand-daughter of the founder of the school - knows, he's the grim reaper come to life.
He smokes. He breaks all rules just by existing - in Aspen's opinion. He's callous, and doesn't seem human at all. He has a sinful smirk and most importantly worships his iconic black leather jacket. He doesn't appear to have any care at all for the school - nor is it apparent he has any musical talent at all. So what the hell is he doing at Westwood?
After all, he's the exact opposite of Aspen Henderson, who's epitome of perfection.
As far as Grant Reynolds cares to know, Aspen's a real-life Malibu Barbie. She doesn't smoke, for one. Has never broken any rules - and in his opinion, has never had a life. She's kind, and popular. She has a perfect smile that has people tripping over their feet to worship her - just like her father's. And, her life appears to revolve around dresses, stilettos, lip-gloss and her instrument.
He's notorious for being himself without any inhibitions, yet doesn't allow anyone to catch a slight glimpse of him beneath his "unimpressed with the world" facade. He entertains a crowd with ease, talks charmingly that leads everyone to think they know everything about him, when he clearly hides secrets.
Well, everyone except Aspen - who hates him-, and she's intent on discovering those secrets of his, and she's pulled deeper into the mystery of Grant Reynolds more than before. Except she has a faltering anchor, which is futile in rescuing her. Will she lose herself in the process or will her heart be lost in unraveling Grant Reynolds – who is, most certainly a legacy unto himself?
