Something Wicked and Powerful...lives in the town of Westchester which nobody speaks about. Even I don't. 
Ten years ago...everything changed. When something terribly tragic took everything away, nobody had expected that it would leave us all beaten and broken. My friends are no longer with me. They have become different, some bit older while some bolder. Some don't even acknowledge the world. 
And there's me. The one who can't let go of the past and move on. Haunted by nightmares and visions of a sinister plot, life has always been hard for me especially in this small town. For the sake of my parents, I decided to move one and finally get out of this forsaken landscape. 
And then again -everything changed. 
It came back with more force and violence to obtain its dues which me and my former friends had to pay in the paths leading to death. It demanded that we should always play together until we are no longer the players but the prey being slaughtered. It wanted us to follow it to the woods. 
But one thing it never thought....it brought us together and we are not going without a fight. 
My name is Meadow Winters and I am probably gonna die. 
But I am not alone in the game.
