In a world where soulmates can hear the songs their partner sings or listen for their whole lives. Some live close which makes it easy to find each other, but some may even be located in different universes. Most people would be ecstatic about this, being able to know more about what their partner loves, or find clues to their whereabouts; but not for Bakugo. For him this whole soulmate thing is nothing but a huge waste of time, merely a distraction from his goal to become the #1 hero.
