After the cessation of Kuruk, a Knight of Ren, Snoke saw it absolutely necessary to keep Kylo Ren at full staff in his legional servitude of knights. His solution was found in a humble officer, whom had shown full allegiance to the first order throughout her entire life, Lanza Ren. However, as you would imagine, this small ripple of fiction will affect the larger reality.
