"You're keeping the baby, Scarlett. Don't even think about getting rid of it", he sounded angry this time, which made me agitated as well.
"You're not telling me what to do now, Alessandro. This is my life, we are talking about. This is the baby's life we're talking about; you can't just order me around like you do with your family or the business! This was the reason we ended what we had. So just leave, like you did all those times," tears escaped my eyes of all the pent up stress, anger and sadness. I felt so clueless, so stupid for crying in front of him, but it seemed like the best idea. It wasn't his choice to make; it wasn't his body to care about, not anymore.
"I left because you wanted me to, Scarlett. But this is also my life we are talking about. This is my child as much as it is yours." He sighed, his voice becoming a lot more quite.
I laid down on the bed, exhausted. This was why we ended our relationship; it was all pink and flowers in the beginning, but stuff would come up and tear us apart.
Dealing with a fresh breakup is never easy, hence why Scarlett Hera is petrified to find out she is having a baby. Join her on a journey full of emotional rollercoaters, laughs and never-ending love.
