*** "Promise me, Daniel!" I grasped his chin and brought his face down to mine. His calloused thumb gently rubbed away the tears falling from my eyes that matched his own. "I promise, my love. We will find our way back to each other. Our love can free us from anything sweetheart. Everything is going to be okay." The thumping of our heartbeats matched the fierce galloping of Master's horses as they traveled closer. Daniel's arms encircled my waist and pulled me into his chest. "My bounty is as boundless as the sea. My love as deep; the more I give to thee. The more I have, for both are infinite." As the overseer and his henchmen came closer to our hiding spot, Daniel quoted Shakespeare telling me of his love. "I love you so much, Sophie. Nothing will keep us apart." I looked up at Daniel's face and saw him staring outside of the tree hollow where we are hiding. The vicious barking of dogs shattered the strength that I had left. I slowly turned my head and saw the overseer and Master, Daniel's father staring right back at us. "We've finally found you..." ***All Rights Reserved
