Life in The Camp is dreadful. But even the aspect of a slow and painful death doesn't dampen Lucy Stewart's endeavour to be happy and uncaring. She lives for the moment, hanging out with her friends, drinking and emotionally torturing her father. Hiding her emotional scars is a part of her survival in the Camp.
But can you really stop emotions? Can you stop feeling regret? Can you stop death?
