"How dare you, Draco! Talk to me like that, I'm your mother for Merlin's sake!" Narcissa exclaimed with anger in her voice. Draco would usually feel guilty making his mother angry but this time, all he felt was nothing.

Draco sighed loudly.

"Sorry, Mum. But I really do love her. I don't care whether you or Lucius won't approve. All I care about is her right now." Draco said in a flat tone. Draco wouldn't let his mother, father or bloody hell, anybody get in the way.

Without thinking, Draco suddenly felt his hands hold his mother's unsteady ones.

Draco softened his gaze. "Please, mother. I'm asking one more time. Let me marry her. I love Hermione Granger so much that I would even sacrifice my life for her. I don't care that she's a Gryfinddor, a mudblood, an orphan. All I care about is that I love her, Mum. This is the first time I ever felt this way. Yes, I had many 'girlfriends' over the years but whenever I'm with them, I felt nothing, Mum. I felt lonely inside. But then I saw her, with the bushy hair and buck teeth. I felt my heart flutter. And at that time, I realized I'm already in love." 

Narcissa felt guilty when she realized the glint of sadness her son had in his eyes. She then said the inevitable.

She took a deep breath, sighed and looked at Draco in the eye. She noticed that ever since Draco left for the holidays, he looked more happy and had less eyebags under his eye. Hermione, she realized.

"Son, I love you so much. I would sacrifice our family heritage for you. I will let you marry her. In one condition."

Draco's eyes lit up with happiness but immediately replaced with curiousity. "What is it, Mum?"

Narcissa felt his son's body stiffen and hardened her gaze more. "Give me the bloody Harry Potter in return."Alle Rechte vorbehalten
