Mature
Promises are meant to be broken. That was all ex marine and sniper Eric Kane ever knew. Racked with feelings of guilt, self-loathing, and doubt, Kane attempts to drink his sorrows away, hoping that he'll be able to forget. However, one night, his whole world is turned upside down by a drunken stunt.

Held hostage by Ace and forced to do her bidding, Kane must learn to forgive himself for the terrible deeds that he has committed while his old demons threaten to resurface from his past. He must be able to adapt to his dynamic situations while trying to discover his true strength within as time continues to tick on by.

Kane is bombarded by a host of new emotions, one of which he thought he would never find again, and new faces, one of which he thought he'd never fall in love with.

Will Kane be able to overcome his demons? Or will he succumb to them and emerge as the monster he so desperately tries to hide away?

Only time will tell.

This story sucks, don't read it! It's amazing how quickly your life can change. In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Sometimes, we're lucky enough to be able to recognise these particular moments, and take a leap of faith, but, more times than not, they just happen without us even realizing what's going on until it's already too late. Tonight, a simple Saturday night, just like any other, would turn out to be one of the most defining moments of my life. Ace is living a slow life, knowing nothing other than drinking with his friends and the motorcycle club that raised him, waiting to reconnect with his father who has just been released from prison after a fifteen year sentence. Life is simple, though he thought. Until the night he meets Jenna, running from her haunting past and the man that she is desperately trying to escape. Ace is dead set on protecting Jenna, but, as she slowly learns to trust him enough to open up to, he finds himself landing in the middle of a human trafficking operation and a feud that goes way back, between the ringleader and his club. Suddenly, life doesn't seem so simple... Work in progress, especially the blurb! This story has content which may offend some readers. Mild coarse language! Physical and sexual violence! Lots of drug references! First draft! I don't own the cover image! I'm a disappointment to my family!

**TOY MASTER SERIES: BOOK TWO**SEQUEL TO PUPPET//READ PUPPET FIRST PLEASE** Dakota Bailey has been forced to conform to the belief of other's since he was young; remaining in the closet because of fear, forced to praise a God he hated because his mother's extreme views ruled his life. When his family died in the bombs, he was freed from their beliefs, but at the same time watched the love of his life die, and for years he let the pain of his loss overwhelm him and govern his life. He believed himself to be nothing but a toy soldier, broken and gathering dust, waiting to be melted down for someone else's purposes, paint chipping away and pieces missing. The one constant in his life had always been the stars above, he cared about nothing else, but when those stars collide in front of his very eyes, he's reminded that loving is not a crime, and that he deserves to live as much as those around him, because broken soldier or not, he still had a right to fight. "Either way I'm still broken, my paint chipping, pieces missing, still pushing forward, still struggling, still just a toy fighting for my right to survive. What a cruel world we live in..." ((rated M, will contain explicit content, sexual themes, rape, blood, violence, polygamous relationship, & mature language)) **cover art by Ramzy Kamen on DA: https://ramzykamen.deviantart.com/**
