Promises are meant to be broken. That was all ex marine and sniper Eric Kane ever knew. Racked with feelings of guilt, self-loathing, and doubt, Kane attempts to drink his sorrows away, hoping that he'll be able to forget. However, one night, his whole world is turned upside down by a drunken stunt.

Held hostage by Ace and forced to do her bidding, Kane must learn to forgive himself for the terrible deeds that he has committed while his old demons threaten to resurface from his past. He must be able to adapt to his dynamic situations while trying to discover his true strength within as time continues to tick on by.

Kane is bombarded by a host of new emotions, one of which he thought he would never find again, and new faces, one of which he thought he'd never fall in love with.

Will Kane be able to overcome his demons? Or will he succumb to them and emerge as the monster he so desperately tries to hide away?

Only time will tell.

This story sucks, don't read it! It's amazing how quickly your life can change. In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Sometimes, we're lucky enough to be able to recognise these particular moments, and take a leap of faith, but, more times than not, they just happen without us even realizing what's going on until it's already too late. Tonight, a simple Saturday night, just like any other, would turn out to be one of the most defining moments of my life. Ace is living a slow life, knowing nothing other than drinking with his friends and the motorcycle club that raised him, waiting to reconnect with his father who has just been released from prison after a fifteen year sentence. Life is simple, though he thought. Until the night he meets Jenna, running from her haunting past and the man that she is desperately trying to escape. Ace is dead set on protecting Jenna, but, as she slowly learns to trust him enough to open up to, he finds himself landing in the middle of a human trafficking operation and a feud that goes way back, between the ringleader and his club. Suddenly, life doesn't seem so simple... Work in progress, especially the blurb! This story has content which may offend some readers. Mild coarse language! Physical and sexual violence! Lots of drug references! First draft! I don't own the cover image! I'm a disappointment to my family!

Book 4 of The Claimed Series Lena and Webb planned a life together. When Lena's mate passed after a short courtship, Webb had taken it upon himself to pick up the pieces and stitch her back together. Years later, Webb and Lena are together and wanting to start a family of their own, but when a new member returns to their community, all their hopes of forever together are dashed and Lena is left to make a terrifying and heartbreaking decision. "Hey." I turned around, not to see someone young, just barely out of his teens, but a grown man. A grown man looking at my Webb like he could lick him all over like a dripping soft-serve ice cream cone. My smile faded as I took in Webb's serious countenance. Dead serious. No. No. Not now. I slipped the test into my back pocket. "Hi," I said. "Listen-" he started to say. "No," I interrupted. "I get it." I looked over at the strange man - my man's true mate - and stuck a hand out. "I'm Helena. Nice to meet you." Not. "Hugo," he said, taking my hand gently. "Hugo Fallon. Webb told me about your circumstances, and I'm so sorry-" "No need," I said, voice sounding stronger than I thought it would. I must be in shock. I'm numb. "I understood this could happen, so there's no apology necessary." I looked to Webb whose face was a mirror of my own. Sad. Regretful. If he only knew how regretful mine was.
