Everybody knows that roses have thorns. Everybody except for Kit Finn, the notorious gang leader.

The tiny hometown Rosie finds herself unable to escape isn't just something she can't stand, it's something most people avoid. The town is overrun by the Dice, a gang name she's heard since the age of seven.

Rosie has watched many of her classmates and former friends get caught up in gangs only to find out they've disappeared months later.

Growing up, her mother warned her not get involved... but who takes the advice of a woman involved with other men?

Her father is a drunk and college isn't manageable, so Rosie finds herself barely keeping her head above the water.

She knows she's a bit tougher than the average wild flower though. Roses have thorns and everybody knew that, only thorns can't always prick you.

Gang leader, Kit Finn likes roses more than he likes wild flowers. Once his eyes are set on Rosie all he sees is red.
