Cruel Summer

Quietly watching the early evening dusk, he's sitting on the sand of that same beach where he had first spied Daniel LaRusso openly flirting with his ex girlfriend back in the late summer of 84.

Johnny Lawrence takes another long drink from his warm Scotch bottle as he continues to contemplate his current life, and the shambles it was now in, while staring out into the waves, feeling the oceans pull, while enjoying the remaining warmth before the setting sun vanished.

Its now 30 + years later since that first cruel summer; and although it has taken him some time before reaching it, he has come to this conclusion: some things REALLY do remain the same while others TRULY have changed.
Especially after seeing the aftermath of what had gone down at the School; Miguel Diaz laid out on a steel table in the Hospital.
The irony is NOT lost on him, as he realizes, it just happens to be the same Hospital Robby, 'who by the way is still missing,' had been born in.
Sam LaRusso was also in the Hospital, and Miguel. . .Lets just say, Sam would probably be released WAY before Miguel will. But, Johnny doesn't know for sure.
He COULD have asked Daniel, but after the 'look' the man had given him; and after the look HE had shot right back at his black haired Italian bane, that medical update on either kid, would probably NOT be forthcoming anytime soon.
In fact, JUST when he had got up the nerve to actually SAY something, the brown-eyed bastard had swiftly left the elevator without his usual backward glances.
It had almost felt like the man was snubbing him!
