Moonlight

At night the moonlight enters my room, I lie awake and think to myself, what am I even doing?

One day I was in super model runways a size 00 the next day I was giving birth. One moment my parents showed me around like a trophy the next I was out of the house the spotlight to not be heard of. I didn't ask to get pregnant, it was the man they chose for me who decided this.

Here I am figuring out my journey as a mother to beautiful girl. This road I must take with pride and I will not let my daughter go through what I went through. No one could convince me abuse was love, I am learning to love.
