But the Mortal Queens have also made a special request of the High Lady- all three Archeron sisters must be present as the event's special guests of honor. Suspicions immediately arise at the request, but does the Night Court want to question motives when so much rests in the balance?

A year has passed since Seren Marzena returned to the Night Court with her mate, Azriel. Their time of rest is coming to an end. Plans long kept silent are now being enacted. All across Prythian, threats are revealing themselves. The three Mortal Queens have returned and pledged their allegiance to Koschei, an ancient god who is determined to see Prythian crumble beneath him.
