This takes place before the beginning of Portal 2, the name synonymous with the chapter names of the game. This is a small collection of short stories leading up to the start of the game. There's one test subject left, and he isn't sure if he should wake her. Meanwhile, he attempts to occupy himself by trying to make friends with the few beings in the facility and consuming other forms of media he's not familiar with, all with the purpose of avoiding his anxious thoughts and loneliness.

This is the story of a young man by the name John Carter whose life takes a twisted turn as he witnesses the murder of his family by an unknown creature. From then on his life goes down a spiral as he joins a secret organization and gets trapped in a portal for 2 years. When he finally gets out of the portal, the world he once knew had now changed and that's where his story begins.
Subject 3281; Chell's Story
Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. I also don't own the amazing cover art, and I don't know who does... same goes for the chapter art, they're all either off of Google or Pinterest! 😂 P.S. the first chapter sort of "sets the scene" for the rest of the book, so bear with me!Complete
The Lost Crusaders
Upon awakening in a strange facility, our protagonist GP discovers that he has been captured by a force of great evil. Suffering from amnesia, he must seek out his remaining friends and save the world from the one who imprisoned them. Join them as they face perils and make new friends while GP attempts to restore his memory. (The characters you see in this story are taken from different media, but are completely different in the universe created for these stories. This is the first story I've created; so I am aware that it may not be perfect. Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys it despite its imperfections!)Complete
