Jocelyn is a bit different from other girls. With her bright coloured hair and strange eyes, that she inherited from her 'coloured' bloodstream. She found out just how different she really was when she was six years old, now fifteen she copes with laying back in the shadows and staying hidden like the rest of the fair folk. ''Don't you remember, little flower?'' he asked, his voice low and melodic, ''Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.'' ''Perhaps,'' I whispered, ''But Shakespeare was referring to a man...'' He cocked his head in confusion, his eyes growing darker. I leaned forward on the throne and brought my eyes up to meet his in an obvious challenge. ''Not a Queen.'' ~~~~~~ There's a whole side to Mara Monroe that's keeping her from what she was born to do. Coincidentally, it's her human side. Mara's always known that she couldn't choose what family she was born into. Even if it comes with a crown she doesn't want, age-old rivalries she doesn't understand, and a bodyguard she can't seem to shake. There are those that would die before seeing Mara on the throne. Or worse. Kill. *completed Book One*
