21-year-old Jackie Sullivan is diagnosed with Schizophrenia from a young age. But that has never been a problem until she reaches 16: the dating age. Then, an incident she refuses to talk about sends her to the Winchester Psychiatric Hospital.
People say she is crazy. Heck, even she thinks she is crazy and not worthy of living. Everyone except for Daniel Log, aka Danny The Slayer, a serial killer who enters "The Crazy Hut", as the residents like to call the hospital. And guess what? He lives in the room next door to hers!
Jackie knows Daniel is very dangerous and could kill her whenever he wanted. But staying away from him is difficult when he is such a marvelous poet. Is he as bad as people label him? Could there be more to Daniel than just the fact that he is a murderer? Jackie will risk her life, her heart, and her sanity (if she has any left, that is) to unveil the truth behind the Madman's mask.
