With nothing but a dead-end grocery store job and no big life prospects, every day is an aching struggle. His houseplants, his half deaf dog Roxanne, and his best friend Viola are the only things motivating him to keep on going.

When a new face appears and an exciting opportunity arises, Sam has a chance to turn his life back around. But, old feelings and habits rarely let you go without a fight, and Sam isn't exactly ready for change, especially when he wasn't able to say goodbye. Will Sam come to terms with the present, or will he let his past ruin his future?
