This is a sequel to "Impossible Love" so I suggest reading that before you start this story.
Alec and Magnus had managed to escape Asmodeus' clutches, but now there are new challenges to face. The world is shifting and the two secret lovers are in the middle of it, fighting for a future in which they can openly be together.

Shadowhunters are at war with Demons and their children, the Warlocks. Alec Lightwood is sent to the enemy's palace to find and break into it's archives. He hopes that hiding in plain sight, acting as a usual mundane servant will stop the warlocks and demons from looking his way. Much to his discomfort, Magnus Bane, the son of Asmodeus, starts to talk to him, turning out not to be as cruel as his father. It's Friday the 13th. Magnus is late for work. Again because of his cat. He's locking up his apartment when he gets a phone call that he's been fired. Alec was supposed to move into his new apartment that day, but the landlord left him the wrong key. Alec has been sitting on the stairs outside the apartment for an hour and a half. This is the moment when their paths cross. NOTE: So it all started when I saw this picture. I immediately put aside the other 2 stories I was writing, and started this one.
