Seamstress (Open Novella Contest 2020)

"I need a dress. Three dresses, actually."
"Very well. What materials would you like the dresses to be made from?" I pulled a pad of paper and pencil from my pocket.
"Yes. I would like the first made from sunshine-"
My pencil froze over the paper, but the man either didn't see my expression or didn't care. I strongly suspected it was the latter.
"The second made from moonlight-"
Please let the third dress be easier. Cotton, perhaps. Or even chiffon.
"And the third from stardust."
Damn it.

The Queen Of The Gods wants three new dresses. So she does the perfectly logical thing and send her husband down to Earth to commission a mortal seamstress for the job. He decides on the extremely talented seamstress Rachelle Newsberry. Lucky me.
