Thousands of years ago, the Queen of the magical realm, Queen Elspelth, died of a fatal sickness, leaving her eldest daughter, Esmeralda, the throne. Over time, the younger sister, Desdemona, grew jealous of her sister's superiority and eventually demanded the throne. Esmeralda denied, and the two argued, but after the argument escalated, the two used their magical power against each other. The fight killed Esmeralda and Desdemona took the throne, turning the realm into chaos. The half ghost Esmeralda hid away to recharge her magic for thousands of years and formulated a plan. She decided to hid away her powers into seven magical artefacts to send to seven mortals of her magic's choice, to defeat her evil sister.
