"Gandalf. I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice. Wouldn't have found it at all had it not been for that mark on the door," the dwarf states as he steps inside, his eyes still on Gwen as he shrugs off his coat and gives it to Kili.
Stepping back next to her brother she rolls her eyes when he speaks, "Mark? There's no mark on that door. It was painted a week ago!"
"There is a mark; I put it there myself. Gwendolyn and Bilbo Baggins, allow me to introduce the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield," Gandalf states nervously as he looks between Thorin and the two hobbits as they look at each other.
"So, these are the Hobbits," Thorin's eyes look Bilbo up and down in slight disappointment before they move to Gwen.

Gwendolyn Baggins has always been the free spirit of the Baggin's family, always disappearing in the morning to reappear that evening bruised and dirty. When Gandalf comes along with news of an adventure that could bring out the spirit in Gwendolyn again, no one could have known all that would come along with it.

You've heard the story of the 13 Dwarfs, the wizard and the Hobbit right? Well they left out one thing, the Unexpected Member of the Company. I was there for it all, from the Shire to Rivendale to Mirkwood and then The Lonely Mountain. You see I am 1/4 Elf, 1/4 man, 1/4 wizard and 1/4 Dwarf so I am tall for a dwarf but not tall enough for an elf/man/wizard. But the elven/wizard side gave me powers that nobody else had, nobody knew who my parents were other then my mother was 1/2 elf and 1/2 man and my father was 1/2 wizard and 1/2 dwarf. Gandalf and Lady Galadriel sent me to "Earth" after Smaug took over Erebor when I was nothing but a little baby girl. 40 yrs later here I am still looking like I am in my 20's with a very bad attitude and wanting NOTHING but to get away from my stupid foster home.......this is MY story on what happened and how I got bad to Middle Earth, trained with Gandalf and Lady Galadriel till it was time to take back the mountain. The Hobbit Fanfiction Bofur x OC It was hard to imagine Bofur taking anything seriously.
