School's a total nightmare, and things at home with mom are a hot mess ever since dad passed away. Just when you're about to throw in the towel, you wake up in a hospital room, and to your shock, your dad's right there with you, but nothing makes sense with the memories you keep. Before you can even process this bizarre reunion, you and your dad are victims of an attempted kidnapping, you being rescued by 4 mutant turtle brothers, who offer to help you find your father. As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye. Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved. Figured I had nothin' to lose, so this's what came outta that chat. Hope you dig it! First time putting words on paper, fingers crossed it ain't too shabby. Plus, English isn't my first language, so sorry if the phrasing is a bit off. Just in case, I'll mention neither TMNT 2012 or the fanart used for the cover are mine. LOTS OF MISSPELLED WORDS AND OTHER ERRORS. You were feared by many kids at the school, but not the four new mutants that had just started. In fact one wanted to be your best friend, one was skeptical and rude about you, one liked you because you were pretty smart and one was just kind of there. You could never read that one, but he was a sweetie usually. (you can change any she/her pronoun you like in the story to the one you prefer. I just write whats easiest for me and hope its ok to others) And this whole love story just happens to start on a note that was written down perfectly by the one who wants to stay anonymous. This is a story full of ups and downs that talk about many problems you dont see in other stories. This is a mature story, so there is swearing and sexual content as well as some things that might trigger people (like mentions of rape) if these things bother you please just move on to another story and don't bother mine. There is spelling mistakes and punctuation mistakes as well, so please don't come for me over that because no one is perfect and I tried my hardest for the last couple months to get this done and actually be a somewhat good story.
