Twenty years after a devastating virus, most of the human race has perished. The very strained few are forced to rebuild and survive in whatever is left. With little education, limited trainings, and no structure of law, it is up to the inhabitants of this world to rule it how they can. 

Kallon Verity and her extremely resourceful family are some of the survivors. Unlike others they have isolated themselves from the remaining world, in the quiet but treacherous  wilderness on their sustainable farm. 

When tragedy strikes, she is forced to flee the only home she has ever known. While exploring the new world she meets Foster, a cold fearless leader of his clan, The Orphans. She quickly finds out that she needs to be useful in order to stay with them and have a better chance at survival. In this world your clan is your family, all others are the enemy.
