A constantly evolving world, constantly at war. New war based technologies matched with an ever changing battlefield. But as military's around the world advance, so does the unknown enemy.
For the past decade, a mysterious splinter group giving no hints to who they originally belonged to have been causing untold destruction and conflicts to arise drastically. Not only that, but they have been obtaining equipment and weapons from an unknown source, outfitting their mysterious force with the ability to match even the most high-end military in the world. In order to combat this mysterious force, a program was created among partnered nations. This program would choose candidates from every nation and branch of the military to risk their lives in an experimental program known as The Unit.
With each nation working together, these members would go through heavy genetic modification and more, being equipped with high tech experimental equipment as well. With the hope of learning the origin of this mysterious group and eliminating them on the battle field, this is a war fought in both the light and the shadows.Tutti i diritti riservati

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

Instead of attacking, it watched me pick flowers before later saving me from a fiery blast. Now it's my turn to save him. Please read the prologue in the beginning before going to Chapter 1. I know a lot of people skip Prologues, however, it has important information that will give you a better understanding of what's going on in other chapters. Feel free to comment and vote. But getting this help came at a great cost. Once they're out and free, they realize the head scientist isn't letting them get away that easily. And he doesn't want his lifelong work to be out in the world just yet. So he'll just have to kill his experiments.

Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.
