Desiree is a 17 year old girl from Detroit she was the only child by her mother and life was not always in their favor due to the drugs and violence in their city her mom decided to move her up state with her cousins ( yeah great idea like new York isn't as bad as Detroit) there she was constantly in the house watching her baby cousins while her older cousins went out to the club or out with their boyfriends it's not like Desiree had any friends but she still wanted to explore the Big Apple one day while her cousins was out spending the night at their boyfriends house with their kids Desiree left out to get some food passing a ally she shouldn't have passed and seen a person she shouldn't have seen will this stranger be her up bringing or down fall...

I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living.
