Imagine a world in black and white. Not able to see red roses, blue skies, orange leaves, or even green grass. Only seeing black, white and grey. In this world, everybody sees black and white. There's no color except one. The only color that is visible to any one person is completely unique and specific to them and their soulmate. The only person that can see the same color as you is your soulmate, and only after both parties have recognized their soulmate does color slowly become visible. Now imagine not even seeing one color in a world where everyone is infatuated with their own.
