The door to the room I was in swung open, hitting the wall behind it and shaking the house a tad bit. Silas was in the doorway, holding a crossbow. I stared at him with wide eyes as he growled and came closer.
"Si, what are you doing?!" Keaton demanded as she stood up and put herself in front of me. I felt my blood pounding throughout me as I realized that I could die here.
"She won't survive the shift, come on, you know this. She's going to die anyway, might as well put her out of her misery." Silas spit out as he repositioned the crossbow so that it would hit me and not Keaton.
"You don't know that Si." Keaton had an urgency in her voice that made me want to hug her.
"Come on Blondie, she's got so much silver in her system I'd be surprised if she even makes it through the week."
