A war is raging and we are loosing. Many brave men have found their grave on the battlefield and the king is losing hope. The only option is to free the prisoners. Some of the most powerful magic users are locked up in those prisons. Colonel Leon is given the order to take the magical and pick out the ones that could, and would, fight. All hope seems to be lost until he meets her.
Aurya is dangerous, silent, and everything Leon needs. But she's reluctant, and not changing her mind.
She'll have to face her personal demons and so many more.

Without warning, his mouth is on mine. He kisses me roughly. His hands are on the back of my neck, holding me in place. For a moment, I was frozen, unsure of whether I wanted to push him away or kiss him back. Since I was not in control of my body around him, I kissed him back hard. I hear him groan into the kiss and a shudder travels through my body. The kiss was passionate and possessive, it felt like he wanted to own my body and soul. For as long as I can remember, the world that we live in now is ruled by vampires. Humans were looked down upon and treated like nothing but trash. One strict rule was put in place, that a vampire and a human can never be together.
