  England, late 12th Century. King Richard is away fighting in the crusades and the country is being run by his brother, Prince John. Up in Nottinghamshire, a band of outlaws are starting to push the Sheriff of Nottingham to his limits and their leader, Robert of Loxley, also known as "Robin Hood", is having bounty on his head increased by the day.
