Lyric's Poem

It's the 1990s, A poetic black girl goes through struggle of living with a selfish mother, toxic sister and an absent father. While trying to escape living in a house of hell she writes poetry. She believes that it is her only escape. One day in school a Hispanic boy catches Lyric's eyes. His name is Brian Rivera. Lyric is scared to approach him because of how she looks. She finds herself asking questions like "Does he like Black girls?", "What does he think of my hair?", and "Does he only like hispanic girls and latinas?" Lyric starts hating who she is and becomes insecure. She struggles to fall in love with herself. But easily to fall in love with boys. This is Lyric's Poem
