First love is always special, isn't it? And so is everything attached to the time when you experienced it. Those memories, those convos, those sessions of stealing glances on one another and those specific songs that made you swirl in your wonderland with your special one are something that stays with you lifelong. Undeniably, there's always one such particular track in all our lives we can't get over of, just because of the fact it once used to make a high sense relatibilty to our emotions or it makes you remind of that someone. No matter how old you grow, how far you run & how much money you make(pun intended), everytime it hits you ears, it twitches an artery in your heart, either making you fall weak or leaving a faint smile on your lips.

Here's to one such song associated to my real life story, that I would have definitely loved to cherish all my life, but for some reason or other letting go of certain things is mentally healthy and the only way to rescue yourself from bondages of self-guilt & being too hard on yourself :)

Not a fiction or a rom-com, a simple, true & non-regretful musical writeup that came straight from the heart😊.

"I always have my eyes on my target, Ms. Burgess." He spoke as he leaned closer to me, resting both hands on the table trapping me in between. "Do you?" I questioned and intentionally bit my lips. He smirked and said "I understand what you are trying to do. Do not, I repeat do not do it again." "Why? Are you scared?" "Scared of?" It was my time to smirk "Of me being a distraction to your focused self." "I like your confidence but you can't be a distraction to me." Saying he moved away from me. I held his shirt, pulling him towards me. He rested his hand on the desk again to stay still "What are you-" "Shh." I placed my index finger on his lips, his eyes once travelled to my hand then back on me. I whispered "I think I am already being a distraction to you because you are more engaged with me than with RJ." ∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆°∆ Zayn Miller, the enigmatic male lead, is in love with his girlfriend- who is none other than the sister of Kiara Burgess, the fierce and independent female protagonist. "I got you something." He told her pulling away, while she watched him curiously until he pulled out a pandora bag. Her eyes widened at the necklace with an infinity symbol in crested with small little diamonds. "How you even afford this kari?" She questioned, unable to take her eyes off of it. "Shit, my savings." He rubbed the back of his head that possessed his starter loc twists. "That was so nice of you, you didn't have too." She smiled softly finally looking at him, "Can you put it on me?" He stood behind her and she moved her hair out of the way as he put it around her neck and clipped it back together. Her hand immediately went to it. "I'm never gone take it off." I used to think there'd be no living without you. Then, you walked away. Like it was the easiest thing in the world. We finally stopped making sense to you. So, you left. Why wouldn't you. It didn't matter that it still made sense to me. That I still held on to all those what ifs and unanswered questions of us. Still hoped for things to work out somehow. Still needed things to work out. Needed it like food and water. This story might not make much sense to you, reader. It was written for him. And in many ways for myself. But I am grateful for your desire to explore our life's tale non the less. It was quite something. I hope you'll get something out of it.
